Alexis and her sisters have cast a spell to find their true loves. Carly and Bonnie have already found their loves and now its Alexis’s turn. Alexis is all about control and that is something she can’t maintain with a male witch. Unfortunately for Alexis that’s who the Goddess picks out for her, in the form of a childhood friend, Lance. Will Lance be able to convince Alexis that they are destined to be together and that he didn’t interfere with her spell?

This story was the best attempt at a story but still didn’t do enough to be a compelling story. The couple had a previous history which was interesting but there wasn’t time for anything to develop. This entire series is under 70 pages and it shows. I love Abby Wood but I wish she would have developed these more.

“Cassie likes to play tricks on Halloween.
She spends the whole year planning – constructing the perfect sexy costume to attract just the right sort of man. He has to be tall, strong, handsome, and totally self-confident. And, of course, too horny to expect the sort of trick Cassie is about to play on him.
 It’s Halloween again.
 Let the fun begin!”

Unfortunately the fun for me didn’t start in this book until the end when Cassie gets tricked herself.  There was nothing redeemable about our lead character, Cassie is self centered woman who spends the year thinking up ways to screw and then demean any man stupid enough to fall into her trap. I kept hoping that for once there was a point of view shift and by some miracle the book would be about Cassie’s best friend Brooke who is likable and who I enjoyed watching come out of her shell.  And I nearly wooted out loud when she gets up the courage to flirt with her secret crush.

The writing in the book is really good, and if Ms Tower were to write a book based on Brooke I would read it.  But this book fell short when its lead was someone I could neither empathize with nor like.

This short story was a sweet read. Eli has decided to never settle down and tie himself to just one woman. That is until Saskia enters his life. Eli finds himself wanting more and more to be with her. Saskia is not immune to their attraction either. Hopefully they will be able to figure it all out before it is to late.

The instant attraction that Eli and Saskia have is a wonderful read. I really enjoyed Saskia she is a woman in charge and thinks she has no time for relationships yet she falls deeply for Eli. Eli is a man who loves with all his heart and when Saskia hurts him we see just what a stand up man he is. He loves her but will not smother her with something she does not want but the two cannot take their time to work things out. It seems Miles has found them and wants to put an end to things. Both Eli and Saskia endear themselves to the reader as we see just how far they will each go to save the other.

This is a great installment in Marisa Chenery’s werewolf series. Each and every hero and heroine in this series is a great character and I cannot wait to see them all find their mates.

As with all of this author's other books, this one was not only a hot read but one that lets the love shine through.

Bonnie and her sisters have cast a spell to find their true loves. Carly went first, but now it is Bonnie’s turn.  Bonnie meets her man on his way to fishing trip with his brother. Bonnie’s response to Dirk causes her to lose control of her abilities and flood the house. Will Dirk stick around to clean up the mess or head out to meet his brother?
This story was disappointing for me which was surprising because I usually love Abby Wood. Although Bonnie and her sisters have distinctive personalities Dirk is a completely absent character. I think this would have worked better as a longer story as a short one it was lacking.

Although she is on the run as an Outcast, Aria can not help but aid a fellow shifter in need. Aria’s good deed leads her to something unexpected her dead mate.  Lukas MacLeod has been searching for his wife for the last year and had just about given up hope of finding her when Aria arrives with a member of his pack. As the target of a fanatical shifter Aria is unwilling to put anyone else at risk even for a second chance with her true love. Will Lukas be able to convince Aria that they can be together and still keep the pack safe?

I found this story to be a pleasant surprise. The plot was interesting, well thought out, and just dramatic enough to keep the tension running high. I even enjoyed how everything was wrapped up at the end. The relationship between Aria and Lukas was very special and sweet. They had a very strong bond and I was rooting for them all the way through. There were two things that kept this story from being a 5 for me. First of all, I found a lot of grammar errors in this book. They were well spread out but distressing nonetheless. Also I would like to have seen more into Lukas’s perspective. The author provides little glimpses but never a complete shift away from Aria. However, if you prefer your story to be completely from the heroine’s viewpoint you won’t have my same issue. Overall it was a really good story and I wouldn’t mind reading from this author again as long as her work is edited better.

Holy cow! That’s the first thing that popped into my head when I finished this read. Kate has delivered, in fine fashion, an incredible (and incredibly HAWT) story. From the first paragraph she carries a high level of sensuality throughout the length, something that is difficult to accomplish. I was nearly salivating as I imagined the sexy gear that our heroine donned, described in wonderful detail, as she prepared for her first jaunt to a fetish club.

Our author, and tour guide to the kinky unknown, Kate, has a truly authentic voice in this first person tale. I have to say I was impressed as I’m not usually a fan of first person point of view.

If you’re looking for a taste into the underground world of kink clubs, without getting smacked in the face by hardcore BDSM, go out and buy this story. Now. I mean right now.

I hope to read more into the world Nancy and Dave have introduced me to and see what wicked adventures they have in store.

A heroine that kicks butt and a hot young man with a brain that loves her, what more can you ask for in a book. Jessica’s new assignment comes with a catch. Dale McCloud has brought her son Sean along for the ride. Now if Jessica can keep her mind on the job, things will be just fine but Sean has other ideas. If the two can get over past hurts and ideas they just might be in for the ride of their lives.

This was a wonderful love story. I was pulled in right from the start. Jessica is a strong woman. She has had some hard times in her life but she has left all that in the past and has moved on with her life. When she meets Sean he begins to tear down her defenses. Sean is a sweet and sexy young man. He has not only a heart but a mind as well and he sees Jessica for the gem that she is. The two make a great couple. I loved the banter between Jessica and Sean. It was sweet to see hard as nails Jessica turn into a giggling girl when she is with Sean. The connection between the two was a wonderful read.

Surrender at Sea is another good book from author Becca Dale. I have yet to be disappointed in any of her stories. This is a well-written and fast-paced story full of hot romance and action that should be on everyone’s to be read pile.
