When one member of their marital triad dies, Dominic Wells figures he’s all set to have his happily ever after with his beautiful wife, Tabbitha. However, now that he finally has her all to himself, he realizes he can never be enough for her. No one man could. So, they set out on a quest to find a new husband to complete their loving marriage.

A dark, erotic story of polyandry, I thought Double Jeopardy was fantastic! The sex was intense and hot but well-written. The first person point of view was necessary to understand Dominic - his perception, neediness and sacrifices he made for the marriage with Tabitha came across well and added a great dimension to the story. The twists and turns were great and I will definitely be looking for more erotic suspense from author Ericka Scott.

Blurb: Gina knew the moment her husband grasped her firmly that was filled with lust, but was it lust for her or for someone else?

Not sure where to begin with this review but even the blurb is poorly written. Staking Claim had great potential to be a quick, highly erotic read but quickly fizzled into a boring story completely told in narrative, passive writing. If the sex on a bathroom counter is so mind-blowing, internal thoughts are a must but rather, I felt like I was watching an insecure woman and detached husband go at it instead of feeling part of it. Best part of this story was the beautiful cover and that warranted part of the rating. I could go on but instead simply suggest readers find a different erotic quickie story to spend their money on.

The last time Dante saw Giulia, they'd been undergrads and she'd broken his heart. Twenty years later, he's a college professor, successful and confident yet unable to commit to a long-term relationship with anyone. At an art gallery near campus, he sees a woman who eerily resembles and reminds him of Giulia. When he asks her to meet him later and she agrees, he feels his heart open again.

Prepare yourself, this isn't your typical erotic romance. Written completely in the hero's point-of-view, you will get a glimpse into the male psyche unlike nearly any other hetero romance. Giulia didn't simply hurt Dante when they'd known each other as young adults, she'd devastated him and he's never fully recovered. When he thinks he's found her again (she looks and acts like Giulia but two decades have gone by so can it possibly be her?), he discovers she's aware of he and Giulia's past. She offers to listen to his side of the story and the ensuing explanation is rich, has complex depth to it I don't typically see in highly erotic stories and while Dante definitely comes across very sensitive and in touch with his feelings, he isn't a wuss. The reader will feel the strong spiritual bond he shared with Giulia and his reasons for keeping other women at arm's length and as the story progresses and concludes, the happily ever after ending will make you believe that some lovers are soul mates and truly meant to be together no matter how long it takes.

Daisy Cooper is by day a mild-mannered office worker working in a cubicle, supposedly leading a very plain life, dating little. By weekend, she sheds the mild demeanor and becomes a man-eating siren. She craves the hedonistic pleasures of a notorious sex club. Attempts at romantic liaisons hadn’t worked for her. She is satisfied with her life until she meets a new man at the club, until he gets hired at her company. Keeping her personal and professional lives separate has now become a problem. A great read that appeals to that inner wanton in many of us.

Patrick is pretty new to the idea of having a Dom. When Leo gets trapped in that endless cycle of word-lock, and the inspiration just doesn't come for his writer Dom, Patrick decides discretion is better than taking his needs and frustration to Leo and asking for what he wants. Leo is not pleased to find his sub trying to satisfy his own desires, but even giving Pat what he needs doesn't break through the block, and Patrick knows drastic measures are in order. He has to drag Leo half way around the world before the writer realizes it's time to put his muse, and his sub, in their places.

For a quick read, this had great character development and emotion. I loved Patrick's need and willingness to please his lover and Dom. Leo was a bit harder to like at first but within a few pages I realized the author made him distant as a result of his inability to think past his writer's block. Once Patrick figured out how to help Leo deal with the block, the intensity of Leo's feelings for Patrick was very apparent. I enjoyed this story very much and look forward to more from Jaime Samms!

From the second Ranulf Verlaine, werewolf, meets Dante Allerton, vampire, on a train travelling to Paris their need for one another sizzles. His gazes make her burn hot. Just looking at her sends flames along his clan marks. Both know they are bloodmates, but it isn’t easy for a werewolf and a vampire to have a future together. I very much enjoyed this short story and the flash of passion that ignited between them.

Threesomes an Anthology is a wonderful collection of fantasy short stories to warm your nights and make you shiver with envy. It has everything “threesome.” There is a fun little story of two women finding a new relationship together with the help of a third “ghost” woman. Another story involves a woman finding unique happiness with a male friend and a man he hired from an escort service. There is a story of thee women on vacation together and taking their friendship further. There is even a story taking place at a mansion for a night of special partying between two women and a “gladiator” that sizzles. Next is a story involving two couples in the Caribbean for Rand R and sex. Then there is a story of three men and a woman, with two men in a relationship finding happiness once more. Or for those of you who enjoy stories about werewolves, there is a story of two male werewolves and a woman. Of course there should be a story involving swingers and there is, a story about a Halloween party for swingers. There is a story about a ménage-a-trois and revamping a partnering schedule. And there are two more shape-shifter stories: one involving a woman, a vampire and a werewolf and another with a woman and two more werevolves. All in all, a delicious treat of fantasies.

A sensual and exciting read that keeps you on your toes from the start. Shy and inhibited Ava takes a job in the last place her abusive ex boyfriend would come looking for her. Working in a strip club called Hothouse Gentlemen’s Club is the perfect hiding place. That is until Kade shows up. Little does Ava know that he is a private eye that her ex Zack has hired to find her. The chemistry between Kade and Ava is electric from the start. Each one has their own secrets but can they let their guard down enough to trust one another before it is too late? Add in a jealous dancer, the club owner’s brother and another PI or two and the mayhem begins.
Lia Slater takes the reader on a suspenseful ride with many twists and turns that keeps the reader guessing. Ava learns quickly and goes from being an easy going and trusting woman to a savvy one that must do anything to keep herself hidden. Kade is a powerful man who takes what he wants with no looking back. Which was always fine until he meets Ava and looses his heart. It seems this bad boy has a heart and may become a good guy after all.
As the two begin a rocky relationship they find themselves on the run from Zack, Ava’s ex. Will Kade talk Ava into making a stand and stop her running or will she take her chances and go on the run again? With well-written characters and a fast paced plot I enjoyed this book. I cannot wait to see if Jax and Poppy will get their own story. If you enjoy a hot and suspenseful read this is the book should not be missed.

She is a mother with a protective streak and when she sees others in need she steps up to the plate. As she learns what is happing in Rathe’s world knowing that she is a part of it now she steps up there as well. The bond of love and trust that develops between these two is a great read. Wend Petzler weaves a wonderful story. The reader is pulled into her sensual world from the first page. Her strong characters both male and female are full of depth and emotions. Not only is this story a hot read it is full of action and adventure with a few twists that keep the reader turning the pages to see what will happen next. I enjoyed this story and cannot wait to see if there are more stories in the works for these vampires. I would love to see one for Sergio or Alexander and Kai’s story. If you love books with lots of action and hot scenes this book is definitely one that should not be missed.

Jill Morfranna, a sassy redhead from New York, goes to the Scottish Highlands on a photo shoot for the illustrations she does for romance novels. She hopes to take photos of the country and find a rugged alpha male Highlander to create a sensual masterpiece cover. She finds such a man, only she does so by stumbling into an alternate realm filled with demons, slave traders, and shape-shifters. Darrius of Knight Watch, a huge black panther shape-shifter, believes she is a witch and one of his Pride’s enemies. He kidnaps her with the intention of trading her at a slave auction for his sister from another enemy.

Their attraction for one another seems doomed from the beginning. She doesn’t understand his world and he can make no sense of what she says or the items she carries with her. He has captured her, plans to trade her away to save his sister, and yet she is drawn to the commanding leader. The desire between them is strong, the frustration as well. I found the struggle between them as they progressed through the trials they faced interesting. Dare was a strong hero with believable ethics toward what had to be done, what must be sacrificed, and what he desired. Jill, too, held my interest with her ability to adapt, analyze, and make hard decisions. This is a good read for someone who enjoys shape-shifters and their struggles.

While Emily thinks that Vahid is a pain and that he does not want her, Vahid believes that Emily is a cold-hearted snob. He vows to fix the mistakes he has made and to help and love Emily forever. He must make Emily understand him and trust in his love for her. With each of the two hiding their past and not trusting enough to tell the other about it the wall between them only gets thicker and taller. Can they finally let it all go and enjoy the mating as only dragons can or will they forever hold their grudges and lose out on their happily ever after?
Emily is a wounded soul that needs help with her healing and only one person can do that healing for her. Vahid is a gruff and rude Alpha Male but his love for Emily knows no bounds. Underneath it all he really is a good guy. The love that these two share shines off of the pages and is a wonderful thing to read.

Ride the Lightning is a fast paced but emotionally charged read. With the reader hoping that Vahid and Emily can put aside their pride and do what comes naturally. Letting nature take it’s course instead of continually fighting against the current.
Lex Valentine is a great author. Whether it be her fantasy or her contemporary stories she always brings the reader into her world and keeps them entertained throughout the whole book. I for one cannot wait to see just what comes next.

Determined not to spend another birthday marking time, Elena has thrust herself forward, trying to be better, write better and treat herself better. Enter Joe who suddenly finds himself infatuated with the big beautiful woman across the bar. Their passion becomes a one night stand when Elena’s self-doubts resurface but a bank robbery brings the journalist and FBI agent together again. Can they get beyond the hurt feelings and insecurities to finish their amazing night? And who is the person giving Elena goose bumps at every turn?

Joe’s Birthday girl had many elements that I enjoyed very much. I loved that Elena was a woman and a big, beautiful, accomplished one at that. I liked that Ms. Shaw gave Elena dimension with her size and didn’t just mention once or twice that she was kind of chubby. There was loads of sex in the story; a good two-thirds of it was against the wall, in bed, in the shower, etc. The downside to that is some of it felt repeated even when the situation and position changed. I give Joe’s Birthday Girl four diamonds. It was a great story. I enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a lot of sex with their love story.

And that his heart would break. Owen dreamed of kissing Daniel, of touching him. But the most they had done was look at porn together. Owen knew that his dreams would never become a reality…until Daniel rents some gay porn by accident and he becomes just as hard as Owen…
Short and erotic, this is a great little read that reveals the feelings of young lovers discovering and experimenting with their sexuality. Owen and Daniel are great friends and find something even better when they finally admit their desire for each other. There were some editing issues that bothered me but not enough to ruin the story. A definite must-read if you like this genre!

David Gilroy was prepared to do his job as a construction worker and set up a new bit of outdoor floorspace on the sensual, tropical island resort of Amante del Mar. What he wasn’t expecting was to happen upon a sunbathing beauty whose feisty spirit and gorgeous body entrance him from the get-go. Gina Munson is a parapsychologist who is determined to find out what supernatural forces seduce the people on the island into relaxing their inhibitions. However she finds herself caught in a web of lust for the hunky contractor. She has to decide if she can get past what happened the last time the resort sank its metaphysical hooks into her and have something even scarier than fantasy: true love.

I found that I really enjoyed this story. It took me a couple of chapters to get into it, but as I went along with the flow, the plot gripped me. The characters are loveable and I especially found myself wanting to discover the secrets of the island with Gina. I would’ve loved to see more on the island’s effects, getting more into what really happens there. Their Secret Paradise is very descriptive, though it got a bit wordy for me at times. Still, the story was really solid, the sex was scorching and it was a fun book to read!

Roul Verlaine and Morgan Kale are drawn to each other from the instant they meet. There was no doubt from either of them that the sex was explosive, but Roul wasn’t looking for strings. He also didn’t realize that Morgan was his mate, which was fine with her. Her fear of loving and losing the one to complete her made her willing to let him walk away. Can Roul figure out who Morgan really is to him? Can Morgan let this Alpha wolf bind her to him?

I’m not usually a fan of stories this short, but I have to say that the length didn’t keep the characters from being well-developed and didn’t keep me from getting invested in their outcome! Now that takes some talent. The words painted quite vivid pictures for me, not just of the smoking hot lovin’, but also of the intense emotions! I really, really enjoyed Mating, and the only thing I wished was that it was a bit longer.

The dialog is fast paced and evocative, leading their relationship along at a fast pace. There’s humor, drama, tragedy, and some really hot sex. This book has something for everyone and will keep you guessing about the ending right up to the last page. I couldn’t put it away and I plan to read it again. I definitely give this book 5 Heats and recommend you read it as soon as possible.

She's finally divorced, after years of abuse, when she learns an unknown uncle in Oregon has left her his estate, and more importantly, his house. Filled with hope for her future and excited to have a place of her own, Cass heads west not knowing what she'll find. What she finds are hot and sexy twin brothers intent on making her a part of their lives. It's too bad they're so much younger because they bring out feelings she's never had before. Meanwhile, there's someone else interested in Cass' inheritance, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he wins. Will Cass overcome her fears and open her heart to the two men who love her, and will she discover the truth about her inheritance before it's too late?

I was excited to read this book because of all the buzz and great reviews it has been getting. The story was great, the characters were funny, loving and kind. But it had issues and I had a hard time getting past them. The editing left something to be desired, there were odd, misspelled words and twice a sentence ended in a partial word, like it got cut off. I did read an ARC copy, I hope the final editing was better than this. If not, I hope the author takes her editor to task for letting so many problems get past her. Table for Three deserved better. I also got totally distracted by how many times the brother, Matt, called Cass "baby". I love a sweet endearment but wow, in some paragraphs of dialogue he used it in every sentence. Truthfully, it annoyed me, I began to feel like he was being phony when I knew he really wasn't and I'm sure that wasn't the author's intention. And what happened to the phone call Serena made to Cass's horrid ex-husband, telling him where Cass was? That was a big deal, I kept waiting for Eric to show up and beat the hell out of her or worse...but nothing ever happened. He never showed up, so what was the point of that scene? If the author was setting that situation up for a sequel, it should have been dealt with before the end of the story, as a cliffhanger ending perhaps?

All in all, I didn't dislike this story, it had a wonderful premise and the characters were fantastic (other than the "baby" thing) and I would definitely read the sequel, which I assume is coming. The sex was very hot and in that regard, Ms Martine was spot on - she can definitely write a great sex scene! For a first book, she's done a good job!

Amy has been burned by a cowboy in the past. She knows better than to jump into anything with the cute man who lands literally at her feet, but instantaneous attraction is hard to ignore. Tanner has his own past to overcome as well. Add in four hours of travel time between them, possessive fans, a manipulative ex-boyfriend, and an overly protective roping partner and you have an impossible scenario in Amy’s opinion. Can their mutual attraction overcome so many problems?

Cowboy Love contains hot sex with a little danger thrown into the mix making Sandy Sullivan’s story one that will take readers on a nice ride. The problems lie in a heroine with mood swings that distract from her likability and so many lines of “suspense” that the story loses a bit of its charm. In addition, though the hero claims he is about more than sex, the readers do not often get to see it. Overall, this was a nice read, but it did not leave me wanting more.
