Ever since I read the original story of Dracula I have become addicted to vampires and I am always in search of good stories containing them. This story does not disappoint. I truly enjoyed the different take on Dracula in this book. Mina is a strong willed and smart woman. Who can not only survive and fight as a slayer but she can find and fight for love. Sin is a great Alpha male always in control until he meets Mina. As the two try to figure out their own feelings for each other it seems that Sin himself must learn many a thing about himself and try to understand his place in this new world he has awoken to. Add in his maker, Angel and her minions that are creating chaos and determined to rule over everyone from Borne to humans and you have one entertaining read. This book takes the reader on a roller coaster of a ride and has you cheering on Sin, hoping that mina will follow her heart not her orders.

This book continues the vampire series that started with the book Whisper To Me. As with the first book this book grabs the reader right from the start and keeps you entertained until the very end. Wend Petzler knows how to capture the reader’s attention and bring you into the mystical world of vampires and slayers. Well written and with characters full of depth and emotion this is a book that should definitely be on your to be read list. I know that I will eagerly be waiting for the next one in this series. Maybe we will see Kai and Alexander’s book next.

When Amy is targeted by and evil Blood Demon it becomes James’ job to protect her and help her accept the powers deep within herself. The simple assignment turns deadly when James realizes Amy isn’t quite ready for the challenge and the Blood Demon is more powerful than any of them could have known.

Eating, demon smacking and sexual tension. Is there really much more a paranormal story needs? Ms. Thacker nailed a fast paced story that kept the tension growing and left me satisfied…enough. A few choice openings were left for future books and I cannot wait to get them in my hot little hands. I liked that there was patience in the characters. Both Amy and James wanted to jump each other, but they let things build to the boiling point instead of going with the first urge. The fight scenes were great, majick original and interesting. It’s an all around great paranormal story that I think anyone who enjoys the genre will be able to get into and want more of.

Ambushed by the human vampire hunters he has been wounded gravely, thinking he is to die he his thoughts and feeling go out to the ones he loves. Somehow Mariah hears and feels them as well. From the moment she decides to help Rathe, Mariah’s world is turned upside down. It seems that it is a never-ending ride of chaos and mayhem. While Rathe and Mariah begin a tentative relationship Vampire hunters, ghouls and Demon vampires constantly dog them. To top things off Jarrod the leader of the Damned Vampires has his sights on Mariah to be his mate and queen. Mariah can feel the evil in Jarrod when he seeks her mind. Since she was small Mariah knew she was different never fitting in and knowing that her daughter is just like her she must hide them and try to resist Jarrod’s mental call.

Rathe is taken aback with Mariah’s bravery and begins to loose his heart. The biggest and mightiest of them all is brought to task by a mere slip of a female. His long lonely existence ended on the night Mariah saved not only his life but also his soul. Can Mariah and Rathe find true happiness before time runs out or will Jarrod win and take Mariah as his own?

Rathe is a wonderful brooding Alpha male who loves with all his heart and will do anything to protect those he loves. Mariah is just as strong willed and loyal. She is a mother with a protective streak and when she sees others in need she steps up to the plate. As she learns what is happing in Rathe’s world knowing that she is a part of it now she steps up there as well. The bond of love and trust that develops between these two is a great read. Wend Petzler weaves a wonderful story. The reader is pulled into her sensual world from the first page. Her strong characters both male and female are full of depth and emotions. Not only is this story a hot read it is full of action and adventure with a few twists that keep the reader turning the pages to see what will happen next. I enjoyed this story and cannot wait to see if there are more stories in the works for these vampires. I would love to see one for Sergio or Alexander and Kai’s story. If you love books with lots of action and hot scenes this book is definitely one that should not be missed.
