This was a time traveling adventure with lots of danger and plenty of heat. The characters were fairly well drawn for such a short story. It felt like this was part of a series, but I couldn’t determine that. Either way, the story was a great read.

Two days before Christmas with her ex-husband, Rick, harassing her parents, Jaycee Froste needs a gift to lift her spirits. She stops in at her favorite restaurant, and it brings more than a hot meal. Jaycee finds herself seated across from one of the most annoying and handsome men she's ever met. She would even consider letting him taste her stew, if he hadn't stolen her reservation. With the holidays upon her, Jaycee decides the thing she needs to lift her spirits is J.C., a man who offers her so much more than she ever could have hoped.

A Trick of Frost is a fast moving enjoyable read, I immediately liked and felt for Jaycee (female). That being said I was disappointed by her and her behavior when a reservation screw up causes her to have to share a table. It took a bit longer for me to warm back up to her. I understand she was feeling like this JC had stolen her table, but I didn’t understand the downright hostility.  But as I said I did warm back up to her as the ice around her melted.

On the other hand, though presumptuous wouldn’t begin to describe JC (male), he was a gentleman to the end. And with each thing thrown in his way he proved himself as a hero. I cheered at the end when JC confronts Jaycee’s Ex Husband Rick.

This is a short story so you expect the pace to be fast and the declarations to take more then a few hours, but the writing and story were good enough that this reviewer could forgive the speed at which they moved.  The descriptions especially as Jaycee entered the restaurant took me into the moment--I knew exactly those smells and that feeling. The authors did a wonderful job taking me into their world. If you like your women strong and your men just as strong, you won’t be sorry with this one.

Welcome to Purgatory! A club for every fetish…

Katie has a fetish for rope and she’s had her eye on riggers Leo and Quinn for quite some time. Week after week she goes to the club and watches them tie up women from afar, while she imagines their rough rope against her own skin.

Now the two hunky men have decided to make their move. But is plus-sized Katie ready to turn her fantasies into reality?

Katie is an uncertain submissive who is more than happy to sit at the rail of the club and watch Leo and Quinn work their magic on the other women in the club. She knows what she wants, she just isn’t sure she is ready.

Leo and Quinn love what they do and are masters of rigging and ropes, but they have been watching and waiting for the moment when Katie is ready for them to control her.

This is another great BDSM book by Ms. Gayle. She gets into the heads of the characters and really allows the reader to understand what they are feeling. As a plus size woman, I could relate to Katie in so many ways. I highly recommend all the books in the Purgatory series. This one has a surprise twist at the end I just didn’t see coming.

Savannah Teale has an obsession with the supernatural-to disprove it. An unorthodox Ghost Hunter with a dark secret, she doesn't believe in life after death. Not anymore. Being romantically challenged since the traumatic death of her fiancé, she has no interest in dating, but her sister's loving interference has led her to accept a date for a 1Night Stand.

Cameron Evans is one of Savannah's most handsome, charismatic, and sexy
bachelors. He's an exceptionally gifted tour guide, and a psychic, but
hasn't learned how to turn off his gifts. Since his conversations with
the dead are a turn-off for most women-to put it mildly-Cameron has
turned to Madame Eve to find a woman who can accept him for himself and
all he has to give.

They may be a great match-if a certain, lingering ghost would just step
out of the picture.

Savannah's Ghost Tale was a fantastic twist on a traditional ghost story. Cameron is a wonderful hero and I’m so glad he was able to deal with his needs as well as those of his spectral visitors. Savannah comes across as a very capable, strong and determined woman and it was interesting watching her being put into a situation where she was not in control. I love the scenes with her sister, there is something just so genuine about their interactions. The setting of this story is fabulous and almost takes on a life of its own, as if it were a main character. I actually want to book my vacation right now. I think those readers who enjoy watching ghost hunter shows will love this one and don’t worry about the phantoms, spirits and specters giving you chills as the scorching sex scene will warm you right up.

I lost my humanity in a government experiment, and now find myself hunted because of it. Demons, vampires and even angels—everyone wants a piece of me. I say bring it on and prepare to die, because I intend to fight for my right to live.

A chance meeting with a giant shifter and his best friend—an actual genie with a bottle—has evened the odds just as a prophecy involving me increases the danger. But, this Hybrid Misfit isn't about to give up, and with my lovers supporting me, I will change the world—and discover that two naked men in bed is better than one.

Hybrid Misfit has just about everything you can imagine; everything you could need or want in a paranormal romance. Beth is such a sympathetic character. With everything she experienced her personality could have turned out very differently and while I had moments of sorrow for her past she is such a survivor that you never feel pity for her just awe at her strength and wit. Gene and Simon are mind-boggling heroes, each on their own are fabulous enough for any woman. Having both of them is almost overwhelming. I enjoyed the friendship between these two men and discovering the bond they shared that seemed to grow stronger as their relationship with Beth develops. The additional characters in this story add to the atmosphere and meeting all the interesting species this author has brought to life was amazing. I cannot wait to see them make appearances in upcoming stories. I am looking forward to reading Beth’s roommates’ stories as well. I love Eve Langlais’ tone and humor and this was one of my favorites of hers.

Davien is bidding the human realm adieu, having no reason to stay. Before he leaves, he craves a night of intense, exotic sex and dares Madame Eve to find an immortal willing to touch a demon. There is such a female, but she's an Under Huntress. A demon killer.

For Kara, sleeping with the enemy is beyond forbidden. It's something much stronger—tempting. Drawn to the rumors of their sexual prowess, Kara asks if there is a demon open to the possibility of spending a night with his enemy. The answer is yes and only she and the demon would ever know....

When bodies are bared and labels are forgotten, neither can deny their fates are sealed the moment they met.

A Demon’s Lure is a fantastic break from a busy day! Kara and Davien are wonderfully complex and developed characters which is very refreshing in a short story. I never felt I had to compromise at all because of the length of this story. The world building was spellbinding and I found myself caught up in the magical mystical world that existed outside of the hotel room. Just when I think the mysterious Madame Eve cannot surprise me anymore she does. I am a romantic and heart and when I see two lonely people find comfort with one another in truly makes me happy and that is what this story did for me. I witnessed two people take a chance, take that leap and it left me with a smile on my face. I believe this is one of those stories I just might read again to capture that happiness whenever needed.

Humans are for eating and I am not one to play with my food, so I’m baffled as to why one geeky mortal doctor makes me wish our kind could be together without my brand of love being toxic. As if suffering from human emotions isn’t problem enough, our world is about to engage in a war where our chances of survival are slim at best. And no one wants to listen.
But, I didn’t become the general of the vampire Queen’s army by being diplomatic. Everyone will fight in the upcoming battle, or they’ll feed my troops and me. Either way, all things living will do their part.
I am, after all, the Blood Countess: toxic lover to humans, vicious bitch to my enemies, and my word is law.

Toxic was not quite what I was expecting and I’m not sure if I should love Eve Langlais because of that or rant at her. The story was another stellar offering from the author and I am a huge fan of her humor and tone. The woman has a wonderful talent when she creates characters and this book was not a disappointment. What did bring me to near tears was the abrupt ending, I wanted to throw a fit an all-out tantrum because I want more and I want it now. Ellie has to be one of my all-time favorite heroines; she is blunt and uncompromising and yet still manages to be very likable in an “I wish I was as confident as her” kind of way. Rafe is fantastic. I love me a sexy nerd and this leading man not only has the brain and brawn he knows how to work both attributes. The setting is engaging and the supporting cast including the villains add to the entertainment. I cannot wait to read the next adventure that this couple experiences.

This book is the first in the Pact of Seduction series. In this story we meet a group of women who make a pact to live out their fantasies. We meet Marley and Reed in this book. Marley’s fantasy is the first to be enjoyed and she wants to try her hand at BDSM. Marley soon finds herself in Reed’s capable hands but is their love meant to be or is it too much to ask?

While I enjoyed the idea of the pact that the women made, I found it hard to connect with Reed and Marley. They lacked emotion and made this a flat read for me. Their sex is hot and flows well but the spark that they share doesn’t come to life for me. I really liked Reed and Marley and would have liked a bit more depth and emotions from them outside of the club without sex being the main objective.

Although this story was not a favorite of mine I have read and enjoyed other books by this author and will be looking for more in the future.

......his wife dipping into the honey jar, he demands a taste of the decadent pleasure, putting three hearts at risk.

But Jane’s new lover Margot is newly divorced and shies from the idea of being with another man. Frustrated, but willing to be patient, Ethan is allowed to watch his wife experience mind-blowing pleasure, vowing that soon he will have Margot in his arms.

However, there is more to Margot’s hesitation than entering a relationship with a married couple. Her ex is pressuring her—leaving her leery of men and afraid of dragging Jane and Ethan into it. While battling her attraction for Ethan, she shoots down Jane’s request to make their relationship a true threesome.

Can Ethan help Margot overcome her fear of him and gain her trust, as well as put a stop to her ex’s harassment?

This is the second on Ms. Petrova’s, French Kiss Collection, and it didn’t disappoint. The love scenes were hot and they were about love, not just about sex. It’s a story about how to make three in a relationship work, not easy when one is scared of men and doesn’t want to come between the other two.

I just wish, and yes I know this was supposed to be short, that the story line with Margot and her ex was given the time it needed to work itself out. I felt that part was rushed because it was so engaging. And Ms. Petrova wrote it so well I would have loved another page or two.  This reviewer can’t wait to get her hands on the next book, Quatre.

Susanna Corrigan wanted a man with no ties, no promises and no complications when she signed up for a 1Night Stand. Black hair and cobolt eyes, she’d found a companion. No what? She still hadn’t met her mystery date. Conflict. Love verses career. Who was she kidding?

Gil Santana was looking for a woman who wasn’t the Hollywood actress type. Susanna was it and the letter from Madame Eve confirmed it. She was perfect…until Hollywood reared its head. Could he love her even though she wanted fame?

If you’re looking for a short read while baking those goddies for the holidays I’d recommend you give Santa Cutie a try. It hits the right spot when mixing Christmas magic with the romance of the season. Ceris DeLand did a great job of making her hero and heroine real and believable. A dreamy romance with a twist of realism which I enjoy. Pick it up and check for yourself, I’m sure you will agree.

Christmas in 1899 starts as a joyless affair. Bethany Cundiff has hit a rough patch in life. While caring for her young niece and nephew, she's evicted from her residence and fired from her job ten days before Christmas. To make matters worse, a gentleman who desires her company for the holiday, and has the money to back up the promise, propositions her for sex.

Blake Wenchal is a disenchanted elf that's been banished from the Northern Realm and Santa's court because he's lost the spirit of compassion and charity. Lonely from years spent by himself, he's thrown off balance when Bethany accepts his ill-advised offer of paid bed mate—except she arrives on his doorstep with children in tow.

Neither one counted on the power of love, acceptance and the miracle of family to make the holiday unforgettable.

Disenchanted Christmas is a heart-warming holiday keepsake that I will be sure to reread every year. Bethany is in desperate straights and even while facing an ethical dilemma she is still a strong and principled woman. Blake is malcontent with the season and humans in general until Bethany and her niece and nephew burrow their way into his disgruntled heart. Experiencing his interactions with the children and his reviving joy through them is such a treat. I loved how well developed every character introduced was and Blake’s neighbor is someone I hope to see make a reappearance in upcoming adventures. This story left me feeling that holiday miracles definitely can come true and that even our bleakest moments can lead to a lifetime of happiness.

When magic fails, sometimes trust and a second chance are all you need.

Magical things are happening once again in the tiny town of Crystal Falls, Indiana. But this time, the source of that magic is in trouble. May (Malaya) Wiggins, the owner of a boarding house, has been called to task by a member of the Magical Enforcement League. It seems May’s been practicing magic and nurturing the special spark in others without a license.

Enter Tavian Brightmore—the good-looking, play-by-the-rules Magical Enforcement officer sent to drain May’s energy. He’s also her former lover and the man who betrayed her ten years ago.

As Mrs. Wiggin’s May Day celebration nears, she and Tavian must learn to interact with each other, regardless of the attraction and anger that sizzle between them—magical and otherwise—before the power-hungry dean of the Institute of Magical Instruction kills them both.

No Such Thing is a charming, enlightening story. We get to learn a little more about our mysterious boarding house owner and her former lover. Tavian is an enigmatic hunk of a magical man and his powerful presence unsettles the seemingly serene leading lady. Malaya is a complex heroine and while she usually has an unruffled façade her sexy visitor has the unique ability to fluster her.  Once again we get to visit the town of Crystal Falls and we also get to visit May’s past. This was another remarkable Holiday Magic Series story and I cannot wait for the next adventure. This author always provides me with an exceptional experience, I love her whimsical tone and this tale did not let me down.

Three months have passed since Steve Compton’s last visit to Crystal Falls. Now he’s back, but far from pleased about it. Convinced there is more in the air than clean living, he’s a journalist on the hunt for a story that'll launch his career into the stratosphere.

Zoe Nickles loves the small-town atmosphere, the people, and most especially the great hiding places in Crystal Falls. She’s heard rumors about the magical aura in the tiny town, and when her powers come to fruition one June night, she knows the whispers are true. She’s the Tooth Fairy--with a sexy new look!

But there's a problem: a nosy reporter is on Zoe’s trail, with just enough street smarts and cynicism to thwart her ability to practice her newfound skills. Can she convince him Crystal Falls is harmless before he tells the world about the town’s “unique” quality, or will Steve blab the news, putting Zoe and all the paranormal residents at risk?

Midsummer Night’s Steve was another fabulous Holiday Magic Series story. Zoe is one of the sweetest heroines I have ever come across and her child-like belief in magic is infectious. Too bad Halloween has just passed as I think her outfit might have made a wonderful costume. Steve borders on the obnoxious until you delve into his past and personality and then his determination is almost admirable. Once again the setting is a fabulous one as this little town is full of fascinating inhabitants. It was nice catching up with some characters I’d already met and it made me eager to acquaint myself with those I’d yet to. This author has a solid spot on the top of my must-read list and this short story helps to cement it.

Every kid has problems. Every kid has even more problems when they move to a new home. But when a kid with problems moves to a new home that has a Demon living inside it—look out!

Etta’s world is about to spin out of control when she encounters her new roommate—and Rahovart, that ancient trickster, is in for a few surprises too. So don’t mind all the crashing and rumbling; that’s just the normal noise Angels and Demons make when they’re fighting an epic war in the attic.

One thing’s for sure: Etta and Rahovart will have to go through Hell to Heaven and back again before that old Victorian home in Quantico Town finally quiets down…

The Demon side is a fantastic beginning to a new series. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a copy because I was interviewing the author. The story at times is sadly intense and Etta is an amazing heroine. She is strong and sweet, damaged and delightful and I cannot wait to see how this young woman is going to grow in the coming adventures. Rahovart is a truly complex hero with his multifaceted personality that seems to fascinate and surprise himself as much as it does the readers. I found this to be a raw read that left me wanting more. The emotions in this piece are so intense, entertaining and left me hypersensitive in a good way. The lead characters secure a deep connection with each other and I quickly became invested in the outcome of their interactions. The supporting cast was just as well developed and I cannot wait to read the follow up to this story.

Bree drooled over the man she nicknamed Mr. Sex God the beginning of every month while waiting for a flight they both took. She wanted him. Could she get him this time?

Steven’s ‘Discipline Always’ motto only gets him so far and a fascinating beauty puts it to the test each month. Will he stop working long enough to fly along with her?

I really enjoyed the heated sexual play between the characters. Come Fly With Me is a nice short erotic read for those who travel along the airways as Bree and Steven do. I’d recommend this to those who enjoy spur of the moment hot reads.
