“Poseidon, god of the sea, knows one thing–Medusa is the woman he intends to claim and he’s willing to fight for her. Unfortunately, it’s his fault that she met the goddess Athena’s wrath. Worse, when she needed him most, he’d turned tail and run. Now he’s back, ready to do whatever it takes to gain her forgiveness and prove to her he’s still the man who needs and loves her.
Doesn’t mean he has to fight fair…
He’s brought his servants–also his lovers–with him. Her pleasure will be their pleasure and he’ll prove his love by sharing everything he holds dear. And if things go awry, the men’s skill as warriors will be an added boon. It’s a solid plan … if she doesn’t turn him to stone first.”
This book might just be one of the most well written books I have read in a long time, the writing and editing is flawless, and the story is filled with such depth and description I found myself reading and savoring every word. The characters are well known to anyone knowing Greek mythology, but it puts a human side to a being that is forever thought of as a monster.
Here we see a woman who, having made a terrible mistake, is given an even worse punishment. Poseidon or PO as he is referred to in much of the book has a human side for a god, while remaining still aloof and selfish as many of the Gods of Greece do. Ms Carney, though making him likable, never lets us forget who he is. Thanos and Belen are Po’s faithful servants and lovers. I believe they are of Ms Dee’s making, but I can tell you they are full of depth and two characters that I adored reading and getting to know.
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for the fantastic review!
