Todd, Fallon and Jake are three twenty-something gay men out to find their Mr. Right-or at least Mr. Hot. David sees them for who they are, a little catty, but overall decent. When the three hit on the wrong man, a wizard puts a curse on the three friends. To themselves and anyone they are interested in sexually, they have blotchy red patches on their faces. The condition gets worse the more they like someone. As they learn a little humility, they also learn more about themselves, but will it be enough to heal their afflictions and keep the ones who matter most?

Fugly presents a very emotional side of gay romance that I find missing sometimes when I read the genre. I liked the different personalities presented in the three men. Their problems varied slightly and therefore what they learned and how they grew also varied. Seeing things through so many eyes got a little tedious at times, but the last stretch where David is the main focus was definitely a great way to wrap it all up. Readers looking for a little just desserts and redemption in their gay romance will enjoy Fugly.
