Ella has things she wants to do, but time and money hold her back. When she’s offered a position as a nanny, she’s hesitant to take it because her response to the sweet boy’s father is far from the maternal one she feels for the boy. Alex needs Ella to take care of his son and maybe make him smile again. Wallowing in guilt and duty, Alex distances himself from Ella. He wants her, finds her intriguing but even his best laid plans and intentions aren’t enough to make Ella stay.

Blessing in Disguise is a really nice read. It’s perfect for a car ride because it’s not super long, but is definitely interesting and easy to read. I loved the relationships between the characters. Ella has some strong ladies in her life that help her and just when I thought the story would end too easily, a little bit of evil was thrown in to spice things up. I love a character I can hate, and Blessing in Disguise has one! Readers looking for an upbeat, playful, though sometimes intense and sad story will find a great balance in Blessing in Disguise.
