Fatal, half demon, half Navajo, learns at the hand of her mother’s Navajo family to not only hate demons, but to pretty much hate everyone, including herself. She expresses her anger and ugliness through sex and pain until Orobus, her mate from birth, finds her and brings her to hell. Major growing pains erupt in Fatal as she learns that everything she’s ever known is a lie and those who she thought loved her, were really using her. Orobus has his hands full and as frustrating as it is, can’t make Fatal change until she’s ready.

I nearly put this one down. The first fifteen pages are a quite explicit and raw for me. Sex fighting and angry sex aren’t my favorites and everything about Fatal was simply too rough for my taste. Then in walks Orobus. I might not have cared for Fatal, but holy smokes can Mahalia Levey write a bad ass leading man. He’s a sexy demon who embodies demon. He’s not touchy feely, yet isn’t too abrasive either. He was the perfect addition to this story and made the last half really enjoyable. Readers into the more violent side of sex will enjoy this one more than those who are looking for just a sexy paranormal story.
