Mace hates NASCAR and racing. Quincy loves NASCAR racing and she has a promise to her dead father to fulfill. Her would be lover Megan had designs on her, but gave her an emerald necklace as a parting gift-or was it? His ex-stalks his every move. She finds she is not only in a race against other driver’s time but also time and his ex-wife and it would seem ex-friend Megan who wanted to be more. Who will win? What will be the cost?

The story is slow to build and while well constructed, at times the scenes seemed to border on filler. Blind date is a story of opposites attracting and maybe that lent itself to its formulaic feel. Sex that’s supposed to be hot seemed like little more than a flash in the pan and had me skipping them in order to get back to the main story.
