This is a second chance at love story with a twist. The hero is a vampire.

Annabel Westin hurts from the emptiness inside her. She is ready to end this life where she’s endured too much humiliation and pain. Then at the last minute she runs into a “dangerous, deadly, gorgeous man” who makes her feel alive again. She finds it strange that, with just one kiss, a vampire gives her the gift of hope. But can she really find happiness with this dark stranger?

Alexander “Poe” Ramsley is surprised at finding such a sad, beautiful woman who is ready to end her life. He is drawn to her more than any other woman in his long years of life. But can he keep her with him forever, or must he let her go?

The story was very short and pleasantly erotic. I did feel like everything happened a little too fast and wrapped up too quickly. Still, the heroic vampire had me from the minute he said, “I want to take away your sorrow and give you light. But how can a man who hasn’t seen the sun in over a hundred years give such a gift to anyone?”
